What to know before you start

Are files uploaded to a server?

Selected documents are not uploaded. Network requests still occur to obtain the site's static program files. No ads, analytics or remote conversion services are connected.

Can I resume after closing the tab?

No. Edits exist only in memory. Download and check the resulting file before closing or refreshing the tab. The tab still shows changes after downloading because the program cannot confirm that the file was written to your device.

Can Word or Excel formatting change?

Yes. Supported edits to imported DOCX/XLSX files retain the original package and update changed parts. Some advanced DOCX elements are excluded; some XLSX structural changes switch to rebuilding after loss consent. Read the import and save warnings. Complete formatting, macro and signature preservation is not guaranteed.

Why is a formula result marked uncalculated?

Unsupported functions, cross-sheet references, external references and cycles are shown as uncalculated or errors. Old imported results are never shown as fresh calculations, and zero is never substituted for unsupported results. Original formulas are preserved in output and marked for recalculation in a spreadsheet app.

Can I edit Hangul HWP/HWPX documents directly?

Check each operation's verification status in the current compatibility table. Listing an extension does not mean reading, editing and export are supported. HWP and HWPX are separate formats.

Can I edit PDF text as in Word?

General PDF body editing is unavailable. Actual page viewing and splitting, merging, rotating and reordering tools are provided. OCR does not recognize text in scanned documents.

Can I fill PDF forms too?

Only supported AcroForm text fields, checkboxes and single-selection dropdowns can be filled. Input appearances are regenerated with a Korean font. Unsupported characters or overflow produce an export error while retaining input. Signatures, XFA, active actions and unsupported widgets are blocked. This is separate from general body editing, signature validation and OCR.

Can HWP be converted to HWPX with its original appearance?

HWPX text regeneration is a separate feature that places read body text into ordinary paragraphs. Tables, shapes and original layout are not restored. A general structure-restoration candidate was disabled because it lost body text. The separately verified rectangle path regenerates only body text, coordinates and size for unrotated top-left paper-relative rectangles in one section with one outer paragraph. Original fonts, lines/fills and precise layout are not restored. Actual opening in Hancom has not been tested.

How do Apple previews differ from body text?

The initial preview.jpg is a single image stored in the original and may be outdated or cover only part of the document. Read body text follows verified actual IWA object references to read supported content separately and extract TXT. Check excluded features such as tables and charts. Original Apple editing/export and full-layout restoration are unavailable.
